## Buying A Chicken

Now that you have some WETH and MATIC, you can buy a Chicken. Their are two markets you can choose from. The Chicken Derby [Marketplace](https://www.chickenderby.com/marketplace/markets/chickens) has filters and options not available elsewhere, and lower fees. [Opensea](https://opensea.io/assets/chicken-derby) has a larger selection, but many chickens are in wallets from not active users, and you may not get your offers accepted.

## Raced Or Unraced

When choosing your chicken, consider if you want a chicken that has already ran races or not. An unraced chicken could have great untapped potential. A raced chicken will already have some data that you can use to determine where it'll perform best. 

## After Your Purchase

You can confirm you have your chicken by going to [chickenderby.com](https://chickenderby.com), and from the header going Chickens > My Coop. You can also name your coop just by clicking Name Coop. You can change your coop name anytime you want.

Now that you have a chicken, it is time for your first race.
