Key Traits

Each chicken has various stats, Understanding the stats of your chickens and of others will help you win more frequently.

Heritage

Each chicken comes from four different heritages.

A new breed from Malaysia that was designed for racing. They are fast, nimble, and hard to hit. There are few around but if you can grab one, you have yourself a strong racer.

From the palaces of the Ottoman Empire, the Serai-Tavuk (Fowls of the Sultan) were bred for their plumage. This exclusive breeding gave them unique muscle structure, making them enduring racers.

Bonus: Spicy Sultans have a Distance Preference for Long races (180/200m) and have a stronger Distance Preference Strength than most other chickens, meaning they do even better at their prefered distance.

A chaotic breed from Europe, its true origins are unclear. Of either Dutch or Germanic descent, the Lakenvelders are talented birds with a tenacious attitude and wild nature.

Bonus: A Spicy Lakenvelder's Talent Preference matches its Talent's type, making them more likely to perform their talent during races.

An old Breed from Britain with roots back to the Roman Empire. Sturdy and steadfast, the Dorking is a very common breed that does well on its home turf.

Bonus: Spicy Dorkings have a stronger Terrain Preference Strength than most other chickens, meaning they do even better when on their preferred terrain.

Perfection

Each chicken has a perfection score, from 1% to 100%. A 100% perfect chicken is a top performer of the highest calibre. A 100% perfect chicken will usually beat a similar 99% perfect chicken. But given the right circumstances, the 99% perfect chicken can win, as no chicken is truly perfect.

The original 33,333 each have a Perfection score of 90% or higher.

Stock

A chicken’s stock is a rough guide to what generation the chicken belongs to. As chickens are bred or fused, they lower in stock. There are 6 stocks, from Spicy down to Bland.

Spicy chickens are generally stronger, but not always so. Stock is only one of the factors that will determine a chicken's performance during a race. With smart breeding and fusion, you can create offspring that are stronger than their parents.

Talent

Each chicken has a special talent that if you’re fortunate, they will perform during a race. They might start flying to overtake other racers, or launch a deadly blue egg to take out a leading opponent.

Some talents are more powerful than others, and their successful execution might mean a victory for your chicken.

Consistency

Sometimes your chicken isn’t quite feeling it. Other times, they are raring to go and exceed your expectations. Each chicken has a Consistency value that will affect your chicken’s performance in a race. Some chickens are more consistent than others, but the inconsistent ones can surprise and outperform the strongest of racers in the right conditions.

Gender

A Chicken can be either a Hen (female) or a Rooster (male).

Terrain Preference

Each race has one of seven terrain types. Rock, Road, Track, Sand, Snow, Grass, and Dirt. Each chicken has a single Terrain Preference and will perform best in races that have a matching terrain type.

The closer a race's terrain is to your chicken's terrain preference, the larger the boost they get.

For example, if your chicken's Terrain Preference is Snow, and they are running in a Track or Dirt race, they'll get a Moderate performance boost, as Track and Dirt are 2 steps away from Snow.

Each chicken also has a Terrain Preference Strength. The higher this is, the greater the boost the chicken gets. Most chickens have the same value for this, but Dorkings have a slightly higher one.

Distance Preference

Each race can be one of six different distances. 100m, 120m, 140m, 160m, 180m, and 200m. Each chicken has a distance preference for short, medium or long races. Discovering your chicken’s preferred distance and running in those races will help it to perform better.

So for example, If a chicken has a distance preference for short races, then it'll perform better in 100m and 120m races.

Each chicken also has a Distance Preference Strength. The higher this is, the greater the boost a chicken gets when at their preferred distance. Most chickens have the same value for this, but Sultans have a slightly higher one.

Talent Preference

Each chicken has a preference for a type of talent (Magic, Spirit, Technology or Weapon). If their Talent Preference matches their talent's type, then they have a higher chance of performing their talent.

Each chicken also has a Talent Preference Strength. The higher this is, the greater the chance of them performing their talent. Most chickens have the same value for this.

White Beak Bonus

Chickens with White Beaks have one of their Terrain/Distance/Talent Preference Strengths boosted.

Performance

How well each chicken will perform in a given race is based on a variety of variables. Heritage, Stock, Perfection, Consistency, Talent, Terrain Preference and Distance Preference are the primary variables to consider when determining how well your chicken will do. How important each one is will vary from chicken to chicken and from race to race.

However, these are not the only variables. There are other elements that determine how well your chicken will perform. Some we've hinted at already, others are hidden and shall come out over time. Part of the gameplay is discovering these other factors. Knowing the game, your chicken and other chickens is the most important factor in determining how often you'll win.

Spicy Chicken Distribution

Here is a breakdown of the perfection and heritages found in our initial run of 33,333 Spicy chickens. The stronger Seramas are few in number, while the Dorkings are more numerous. Don't think a Dorking can't beat a Serama though, as heritage is just one of the stats that goes towards a chicken's performance.
